WELCOME!

My name is Tim Rovnak and I've been playing piano for 35 years. Since 1994, I've been performing professionally in the Phoenix area. I began Arizona Piano Lessons in 2003, inspired to share my lifelong knowledge of music with others.

Learning an instrument such as the piano has many proven benefits. It can assist in a child's development and it can enrich the life of an adult. I believe that music instruction, from beginner to advanced, should offer a solid foundation, should be enjoyable, and should compliment each individual's interest. Arizona Piano Lessons provides an atmosphere in learning music that is both rewarding and fun.

LEARN TO PLAY PIANO!

Arizona Piano Lessons offers a diverse team of veteran instructors, accomplished in teaching all ages and levels. And as talented performers, we have the ability to teach many different styles of music including: classical, jazz, blues, rock, pop, country, and gospel.

In our program, a child as young as 5 can begin learning piano. Using established introductory materials, we guide each student through the basics of reading and playing. After the basics, we decide on a course plan with specific goals. Throughout the instructional experience we provide additional activities in fun subjects such as improvisation, ear training, song writing, and recording.

Each spring we produce a CD of performance songs recorded from our students. It's an opportunity for everyone to share their talents! We encourage this project for all, but it is optional for adults.

 TIM ROVNAK 

 Tim studied Electronic and Computer Music and graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1989. He is an award-winning composer and performer. This picture was taken in the Cabaret Theater at Taliesin West.

Gabe has a degree in Music Therapy from Arizona State University. He has been performing piano for more than 17 years and teaching for 8. He is experienced in teaching special-needs children. Gabe is also an award-winning accordion player.

MATT WILLIAMS

Matt has a degree from ASU in Jazz Piano Performance and has been teaching for more than 4 years. He instructs master classes for ASU music students and clinics for Phoenix High Schools. Matt is very active in community charity work.
